Dr. Madalina Caliman graduated in 1997 from the University of Dentistry and after 4 years of practising general dentistry, in 2001 she moved from Europe to New Zealand where she registered with the Dental Council of NZ through University of Otago in 2004.

Like other dental surgeons she is also a member of NZ Dental Association.

Madalina joined Papanui Dental Centre in October 2008 and has approached different aspects of dentistry such as porcelain crowns, veneers, white bonded fillings, Cerec crowns, root canal treatments, etc.
She enjoys working in a nice relaxed environment using a gentle and sensitive style.

“I deeply care about my patients and empathize with their fear. I want their dental experience in my surgery to be as positive and as comfortable as possible.”

In her effort to maintain high standards within her practice she is continuously improving her knowledge through attending courses and conferences, keeping her up to date with the new technologies and innovations.

Dr. Bill Kennedy

Dr. George Glausiuss

I graduated from Otago Dental School in 1985 and worked at Dunedin Public Hospital as a Dental Housesurgeon. It is a sought after position that provided valuable experience and further training.
After working in general practice in London I returned to Christchurch and have been working at Papanui Dental Centre since 1988.

I am very sympathetic towards anxious patients and so provide a range of sedation techniques combined with gentle and painless care.

I know patients don't like to be kept waiting and are concerned about what their treatment will cost. I run to time and will tailor treatment to suit individual circumstances after discussing this with you. I believe regular checkups allow conservative treatment and prevention of problems so that fees are kept to a minimum.
My aim is to provide high quality long lasting Dentistry at reasonable cost in a caring, friendly and relaxed environment.

Dr. George Glausiuss

My name is George Glausiuss, I am born and bred in Christchurch and went to Canterbury University and attained a degree in chemistry in 1992. I then went to Otago University to study Dentistry and Graduated in 1996. My first job was at Kew Hospital Invercargill, working with Oral Surgeon, Peter Christmas. I then took up a position in Wellington for a year in private practice before heading to live and work in London for the years 1999 and 2000.

I joined the Papanui Dental Centre in 2001 and worked as an associate of the practice for two years, before Brian Adams retirement, when I bought his practice.

I work as a general dentist within the practice.

This work includes composite and amalgam fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, implants and partail dentures and extrations.
I see high school children through a contract with the health department but don't have a contract to treat primary school children. I am happy to see the younger ones for check ups and treatment, but a private fee is necessary to cover costs for this group.

I am always happy to see new patients and like to see my regular patients at least once a year or more depending on your dental needs.

I encourage all my patients to see the hygenist at least once a year and for more difficult cases often refer people to a oral health specialist as required.
